When using a glaive, switch to your one-handed secondary to get into the dual wield mode (my example, nukor and pathocyst). Use Cloud Walk and interrupt it with a melee. You are now firing your secondary without your primary fire button.
Most melee actions will not interrupt this effect, though I have noticed that there is some interaction where you make yourself stumble, but cancel it with another throw somehow. Primary stumble cause was Volatile Quick Return, of course.
