I wanted to make this suggestion for a while and I feel now is the right moment since the eros wings block the view out of combat.
You also probably wouldn't need to hide the wings in missions when there are enemies nearby (which is most of the time). Just hiding them while aiming would be enough
Increasing Field of View too much just makes things look distorted and it can mess up your depth perception.
Some people, myself included, have increased FoV to make the area around the warframe easier to see, but it causes distortion in the corners of the screen. A camera distance slider would be better for this, since FoV only affects the angle of perception.
